WALSALL TENNIS CLUB - Membership Application - 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025 |
Walsall Tennis Club operates an online application/renewal process ONLY. GDPR came into force on 25 May 2018. Walsall Tennis Club has a responsibility to protect its membership data. The following questions and answers outline the Club's policy:
A: Name, address, telephone number(s), email addresses, gender, date of birth, category of membership, history of roles held at the Club during the period of membership, website login details, frequency of visits to the Club website, relationship to other club members (where applicable), and details of matches where representing the Club. Specifically for junior members: contact details of the supervising parent or guardian, consent (or otherwise) to accompany other Club members on away match travel, and consent (or otherwise) to be included in Club photography at selected events.
A: The data is stored in a password-protected database for the purposes of analysis of membership trends, to reconcile subscription fees, and as a mailing list for maintaining contact between the Club and its membership.
A: No data specific to any individual is circulated outside the Club. However, we are occasionally required to submit anonymised participation data to the LTA and/or Sport England to support various applications.
A: Member records are anonymised after six years of lapsed membership. This involves the removal of any member-identifiable information, i.e. name, address, telephone number(s) and email addresses. However, date of birth and membership category information is retained to assist in the analysis of year-on-year membership trends. The Club will comply (within 14 days) to any request from a member for his/her membership data (or that of dependent children) to be deleted
A: Any change in this data protection policy will be notified to Club members by email.
