ClubmarkWALSALL TENNIS CLUB - Membership Application - 1 April 2018 to 31 March 2019Clubmark

Walsall Tennis Club wishes to simplify its membership administration and has, therefore, introduced an online application/renewal process.

This process includes the type of membership(s) sought, the categories of membership sought by those seeking to become members, and the costs involved. The payment section displays optional add-ons, the total amount due and details of how payment is to be made. It is hoped that this system will avoid much of the need for the manual posting of forms.

Should you have any technical difficulties, please email: webmaster@walsalltennis.co.uk and provide as much information as possible on your issues (including any screenshots you are able to include). For all other membership-related issues, please contact our Membership Secretary:

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES
Due to the current uncertainty surrounding the Club's imminent site vacation, it has been decided that only two categories of membership will be available for the 2018/19 season: ADULT (£30) and JUNIOR (£5).

These drastically reduced fees reflect the limited social playing facilities on offer this year for members. At the same time, the fees offer excellent value for those adults wishing to represent the Club in team matches and also allow entry into the annual Wimbledon Ticket Ballot for all Adult and Junior members who previously elected to OPT-IN via the LTA registration process before the 23 February 2018 deadline.

GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION (GDPR) 2018
GDPR came into force on 25 May 2018. Walsall Tennis Club has a responsibility to protect its membership data. The following questions and answers outline the Club's policy:

  • Q: What are we collecting?
  • A: Name, address, telephone number(s), email addresses, gender, date of birth, category of membership, history of roles held at the Club during the period of membership, website login details, frequency of visits to the Club website, relationship to other club members (where applicable), and details of matches where representing the Club. Specifically for junior members: contact details of the supervising parent or guardian, consent (or otherwise) to accompany other Club members on away match travel, and consent (or otherwise) to be included in Club photography at selected events.

  • Q: What do we do with your information?
  • A: The data is stored in a password-protected database for the purposes of analysis of membership trends, to reconcile subscription fees, and as a mailing list for maintaining contact between the Club and its membership.

  • Q: Who do we share it with?
  • A: No data specific to any individual is circulated outside the Club. However, we are occasionally required to submit anonymised participation data to the LTA and/or Sport England to support various applications.

  • Q: How long will it be stored and how can I delete it??
  • A: Member records are anonymised after six years of lapsed membership. This involves the removal of any member-identifiable information, i.e. name, address, telephone number(s) and email addresses. However, date of birth and membership category information is retained to assist in the analysis of year-on-year membership trends. The Club will comply (within 14 days) to any request from a member for his/her membership data (or that of dependent children) to be deleted

  • Q: How you will notify me of any changes?
  • A: Any change in this data protection policy will be notified to Club members by email.

I DO NOT consent to Walsall Tennis Club's data protection policy above.
